St. Helens’ summer of music rocks on with a locally grown fan favorite tonight at 13 Nights on the River.

Performing from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 18 is pop and dance music cover band Hit Machine. The group’s renditions of top hits spanning the decades makes for an exciting concert for the whole family.

St. Helens hosts 13 Nights on the River each year, bringing a lengthy lineup of musical acts to perform free concerts each Thursday all summer long.

A variety of vendors set up shop during each event, and attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to be comfortable on the grass. Limited park bench seating is available on a first come, first served basis.

Traditionally held at the waterfront, this year’s concert series is being held at McCormick Park due to construction, which is scheduled for completion in spring 2025.

Plans are to bring the event back to its original Columbia View Park location next year, but “there are always unknowns that we may not be able to anticipate,” City Administrator John Walsh previously told the Spotlight.
