Daredevil archeologist Indiana Jones to be featured at Movies by Moonlight this week

The always popular Movies by Moonlight series at Heritage Park in Scappoose is just about ready to wrap up its summer run.

On the screen Friday, Aug. 16, will be “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.”

The movie follows “Archaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary artifact that can change the course of history," in the 2023 film.

The Harrison Ford flick begins at dusk, with pre-movie events at 6 p.m.

These movies, according to the city, are family friendly and will be shown with thematic activities and events.

The $1 hot dogs and hamburgers are always a big hit with park visitors. These goodies are grilled by members of the Scappoose Police Department. Movie snacks and beverages are provided by the Scappoose Community Club.

On tap on Friday, Aug. 23, with be "Gran Turismo." Movies by Moonlight wraps up Friday, Aug. 30, with the fan favorite, “E.T.”
