Fans of the Nintendo video game Animal Crossing rejoice, the Oregon Coast Aquarium has a cool new experience.

Video game animals meet real animals at Oregon Coast Aquarium.

In partnership with Nintendo of America, the “Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour” arrives at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport through Oct. 20.

Inspired by the Animal Crossing: New Horizons video game for Nintendo Switch, the tour gives fans a chance to interact with some friendly “Animal Crossing” characters while learning more about their real-life counterparts. The aquarium is hosting themed activities while guests explore the wonders of aquatic life with an Animal Crossing: New Horizons twist.

There’ll be Animal Crossing photo opportunities and themed signage including creature descriptions presented by in-game museum curator Blathers from the game, meet-and-greets with Tom Nook and Isabelle (on select dates and times) and more.

The “Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour” is included with general admission; buy tickets on-site or online at aquarium.org .

In the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, players escape to a deserted island and create their own paradise as they explore, create, and customize their island, which is home to a wealth of natural resources that can be used to craft everything from tools to creature comforts. You can hunt down insects at the crack of dawn, decorate your paradise throughout the day, or enjoy sunset on the beach while fishing in the ocean.

“Animal Crossing: New Horizons” is available for the Nintendo Switch family of systems on Nintendo eShop and through retailers.
