    Mississippi oil worker dies after fall from mobile well tower

    SIMPSON COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A worker died after falling from the top of a mobile well tower in Mississippi.

    Simpson County deputies said they received a call from Challenger Deepwell Servicing just after 6:30 p.m. on June 4. They said the worker fell after the mobile oil well tower turned over.

    Deputies arrived at the location on Highway 28. They said the 24-year-old man from Columbia, Mississippi, died at the scene. He has not been identified.

    WJTV 12 News reached out to the company about the incident. They had no comment.
