Jones and his friend, who has not been charged, were at the gentlemen’s club around 11:05 p.m. when they asked to gain access to the VIP section. Charges show that the two were denied access by staff members and things became physical. Two staff members were punched in their face and body, police reported.

By the time state police arrived, the fight had stopped and Jones and his friend were escorted out of the club. Jones’s friend was arrested at this time, according to the criminal complaint.

Troopers spoke with staff and learned that the two did not pay for the VIP service and were not allowed in that area. Staff continued to tell troopers that Jones and his friend began punching them and knocked a computer, cash register and phone off their desk, according to the affidavit.

During the fight, one of the staff members remembered Jones yelling “I’m from Philly we don’t f*** around,” police noted in the criminal complaint.

The two staff members both said they were hit a few times but were fine and declined medical treatment.

When attempting to arrest Jones, police said he was actively arguing and resisting. Charges show he kicked two troopers in their legs causing injuries including scuff marks and cuts. Police said Jones was tased twice to gain compliance.
