    USC Foundation Student Housing Gadsden + Greene

    Project description: The USC Foundation Student Housing project “Gadsden + Greene” is a 750,000-square-foot total precast concrete mixed-use student housing project scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. The 11-story structure will provide 940 beds for USC’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students. The precast development includes a 580-car parking deck, as well as 42,000 square feet of student meeting space and 12,000 square feet of restaurant/retail space. Metromont’s Greenville and Spartanburg plants produced 750,000 square feet of precast for the project.

    Project description: Dalfen Industrial partnered with Choate Construction and LS3P Associates for the design-build delivery of the largest speculative industrial building to date in the Charleston market. Measuring 1.3 million square feet, the new facility is intended to help support strategic growth at the ports by delivering warehouse and distribution space.

    Project description: An 80,437-square-foot Publix grocery store is coming to Nexton, in Summerville, serving as the anchor of the new One Nexton mixed-use community. The community’s first phase, expected to be completed this fall, features 37,500 square feet of retail space as well as a corner outparcel and 351 Class-A apartments.

    Project description: This project is an interior upfit of office space on the second floor of an existing building. The new floor plan, designed to be contemporary and efficient, includes space for offices, conference room, break room, print room, huddle room, and storage areas, with new walls, flooring, casework, glass, lighting and paint. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and fire sprinkler trades are also included.

    Project description: This project revitalizes an existing block-and-steel building utilizing a modernized identity and functional floor plan. A new ADA bathroom and office addition will allow for the placement of the required elements to run a business while maintaining the expansive openness that the building’s engineered steel frame allows. The exterior and lot include new paving, parking, and landscaping; an adjacent laydown yard behind fence also is accessible to the interior via a side garage door.
