A CVS-associated health care brand has purchased retail space in downtown Columbia.

Colliers South Carolina’s Rox Pollard, Danny Bonds and John Gressette represented Parkland Associates in the lease of 10,865 square feet of retail space at Parkland Plaza to Oak Street Health, according to a news release.

Founded in 2012, Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health, offers primary health care for seniors with over 200 locations nationwide, the release stated.

“Oak Street Health will offer a state-of-the-art clinic in the outparcel building on the State Street side of Parkland Plaza,” said Pollard in the release. “It will add to the plaza’s existing health and wellness tenants and provide a great service to the entire downtown Columbia, Cayce and West Columbia area.”

Parkland Plaza was recently renovated with a new contemporary look.

Current tenants at Parkland Plaza include Food Lion, ACE Hardware, Planet Fitness, Beall’s Outlet, The Kingsman, Capital Climbing Gym, H&R Block, Monterey Mexican Restaurant, Freeway Music, East Bay Deli and more. Other nearby retailers include Lizard’s Thicket, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General, Zaxby’s and many more, according to the release.

With approximately 28,000 vehicles passing by per day on Knox Abbott Drive and approximately 8,100 vehicles per day on State Street, the shopping center provides strong visibility with close proximity to Columbia’s downtown district, the release stated.

Pollard is a vice president and director of Retail Services at Colliers in Columbia specializing in the sale, leasing and development consultation of retail properties across the state. Bonds is a senior brokerage associate specializing in the leasing of neighborhood shopping centers. Gressette is a brokerage associate working with tenants, landlords, sellers and purchasers to lease, purchase and sell retail properties of all sizes.
