    Things to do: Antiques Roadshow, Ice Cream Day, Cars and Coffee and Pup Pool Parties

    This weekend could spell big money for some at Columbia's Roadshow, celebrate National Ice Cream Day, Cars and Coffee and Pup Pool Parties.

    1. Columbia Antiques Roadshow

    Have a few old relics hanging around the house, or a piece of jewelry you want to sell, but don't know where to go?

    Dust off those antiques, coins and collectibles for Columbia, TN Roadshow, hosted by Premier Gold, Silver and Coin.

    The free five-day event, which kicked off Tuesday at Comfort Suites, 1544 Bear Creek Pike, and will run through Saturday.

    Meet with specialists who will evaluate each item and its value, and it's all for free. No appointment is needed, and visitors can get paid on the spot.

    Hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

    2. National Ice Cream Day

    Round out the weekend by cooling off with a sweet treat to celebrate National Ice Cream Day.

    On Saturday, A Balloon Shop in downtown Columbia will offer $1 off its selection of homemade scoops, with the first five customers receiving a free gift. A Balloon Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    On Sunday, Hattie Jane's Creamery in downtown Columbia will also mark the occasion by offering its first 25 customers a chance to win a tote bag full of goodies starting at 10 a.m.

    3. Columbia Cars and Coffee

    Columbia Cars and Coffee makes its monthly return this Saturday for all car lovers and collectors.

    Grab a cup of coffee and browse among classic and modern cars, trucks and more. There will also be live music and more.

    Columbia Cars and Coffee will once again take place at the public parking lot at the intersection of East 7th and Woodland Streets, commonly known as Motor Alley.

    The event will run from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday.

    4. Co-op Pup Pool Party

    This weekend also has something a little fun for dogs at the United Farm & Home Co-op, 975 Riverview Lane.

    The Co-op will host its fourth annual Pub Pool Party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

    The pet-friendly event will feature pools for large and small dogs, obstacle courses, a dog kissing booth and more.

    In addition, the Co-op will be offering many sales, food, prize giveaways and more.

    5. Live entertainment

    Tom Saffell & Robert Johnson will perform at McCreary's Irish Pub & Eatery, 814 S. Main St., starting at 7 p.m. Friday.

    Ava Panza will perform at August Sage, located in The Factory at Columbia at 101 N. James M. Campbell Blvd., starting at 6 p.m. Friday.

    STicKy KiM will perform at The Boondox, 3543 Highway 431, starting at 8 p.m. Friday.

    Johnny Jameson and The Empty Pints will perform at McCreary's Irish Pub and Eatery, 814 S. Main St., starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.

    Aaron Sizemore Band will perform at The Tilted Mule, 102 Depot St., starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.

    L'80's Nite will perform at Fozzy's Bar & Grill, 150 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.

    Southbound Crows will perform at The Boondox, 3543 Highway 431z, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.

    Cam Elise will perform at August Sage, located in The Factory at Columbia at 101 N. James M. Campbell Blvd., starting at noon Sunday.

    Dark Waters Project will perform at The Tilted Mule, 102 Depot St., starting at 3 p.m. Sunday.

    Cotton Cruz will perform at The Rebel Bar and Grill, 307 Riverside Drive, starting at 4 p.m. Sunday.
