Connect with Montgomery County employees at Downtown Commons
CLARKSVILLE, TN – The first County Connections event will be hosted at Downtown Commons on July 25 from 5:30-7 p.m. The event, which was presented by County Parks & Recreation Director Sally Read, is an opportunity to talk to people who serve the residents of Montgomery County through their work in local government, to gain better knowledge of the difference in services between county and city government and have fun.

As the Nashville Predators look to keep their reputation alive of having a formidable defensive corps, a key part of that future is Spencer Stastney. The Predators went out and signed Brady Skjei in free agency and figures to be put on the top pairing with Roman Josi. Alexandre Carrier was re-signed, somewhat unexpectedly, and will likely rejoin Jeremy Lauzon on the second pairing.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Bartlett-based company's eclipse glasses are in the final round of the "Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee" 2024 contest. The Tennessee Chamber and Tennessee Manufacturers Association(TMA), partnered with the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services, Chattanooga Regional Manufacturers Association and Smart Factory Institute Tennessee to launch the contest.
Fire at Fall Creek Falls
At 2:42 Saturday afternoon, Piney Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire with Spencer Fire-Rescue, Fall Creek Falls Fire Dept, and Cedar Grove Fire Department. The structure was a large shed with many golf carts inside at the Dead Zero Shooting Park. Due to the reported size of the fire and the location, the Dunlap Fire Department and Harrison Ferry Fire Department were also requested for manpower and water.

Grand Jury issues indictments for endangerment, drug trafficking crimes
A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for wanton endangerment, drug trafficking and abuse-related crimes on Friday. Charles Berry, age 27 of Hopkinsville, was indicted on multiple drug charges after Hopkinsville Police executed a probation violation warrant against Berry and reportedly found him to be in possession of drugs in May. Berry was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in synthetic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Woman Charged After Toddler Overdoses On Drugs
A Hopkinsville woman was charged with criminal abuse after an investigation into symptoms her child had at the hospital Saturday night. Hopkinsville Police say a 20-month-old child was brought to the hospital with symptoms of an overdose and after running tests, the mother 25-year-old Jasmine Bartolo was taken into custody.
