With the Fourth of July coming up in a few days, many stores where you could usually order enough for the whole family will be closed for the day. However, if you don’t plan on cooking out on the grill, we’ve rounded up a few options. These local favorites plan to stay open for the holiday so you can enjoy the fireworks on a full stomach.

    Local Restaurants

    The Black Cow

For a diverse selection of Southern comfort food available for carry-out, the Black Cow offers many seafood options with different variations of steak burgers, chicken sandwiches and more. | Holiday hours: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

    Carrabbas Italian Grill

Dine in to get enough of your favorite pasta, sides, soups, salads and desserts, or enjoy a full Italian spread with the option of catering it to your house (catering may need to be called in ahead to give enough time for preparation). | Holiday hours: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

    Smoke Bourbon and BBQ

Nothing spells a carnivore’s dream like brisket, chicken, pork, ribs and beef. Smoke Bourbon and BBQ has plenty of delicious barbecue dishes to satisfy cravings for entrees straight off the grill. That paired with the open rooftop seating area that allows for an open view of the fireworks in the evening, makes for an immersive Fourth of July experience. | Holiday hours: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

    Rose’s Caribbean Restaurant

Switch up the holiday menu for the day and try out the jerk chicken, rice and veggie plates; pork, oxtail, chicken and beef patties at Rose’s for a unique Jamaican cuisine experience. | Holiday hours: 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

    Banks Food Hall

If you plan to enjoy the holiday with a fun night out, find it with a selection of food including Mexican, Poke, drinks, and hot dogs and potentially experiencing one of the theme nights held on special occasions. | Holiday hours: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.

    Chester’s Barbecue

Don’t feel up to cooking for the holiday? This low-key restaurant offers snacks along with all the staple dishes of the traditional southern barbecue. The restaurant advises ordering catering ahead of time. | Holiday hours: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

    Chef Lee’s Peking Restaurant

Atmosphere and authenticity characterize this establishment as its fish pond and high-scale ambiance pair well with its delicious Chinese dishes. Both in-house dining and large-scale catering are available (catering orders must be submitted and picked up before 3 p.m.). | Holiday Hours: 11 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

    Smokems BBQ

If everything nearby ends up too busy, Smokems BBQ can provide a barbecue plate for a small group. A short drive here with the family can make for a hassle-free stop for food among all the excitement of the night. Curbside pickup is available. | Holiday hours: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

    Chain Restaurants

Along with Restaurants exclusive to Columbus, several franchise restaurants will remain open during the holiday. All restaurants have takeout available as well (some takeout hours vary from the restaurant’s general operational hours).
