    Columbus Police still searching for Raymond ‘Paul’ Akins, who went missing 11 years ago

    COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Columbus Police are still searching for a man who has been missing for 11 years.

    According to police, Raymond “Paul” Akins, 44, was last seen Jan. 1, 2013, in the Box Springs, Georgia area. Akins is reported to have brown hair and blue eyes. Authorities say he stands at 5-feet-6-inches and weighs about 130 pounds. His clothing description is unknown.

    Akins was 33 years old when he went missing, but today he would be 44.

    Back in 2022, Police said Akins went missing after he was taken to Marion County. Reports said that Akins was dropped off at the entrance to Elon sub-division around Shanta court, near Miller Road and Milgen Road, on Jan. 7, 2013.

    Anyone with information about Akins or his whereabouts, is asked to contact the CPD Special Victims Unit at 706-225-3449, lead investigator CPL Emily Stice at 706-225-4366 or call 911.
