Rite Aid is closing 44 more stores. All but two are in Ohio and Michigan
The number of pharmacies — particularly in Ohio and Michigan — is continuing to drop. Bankrupt chain Rite Aid last week announced that it was closing 44 additional stores and that all but two are in Ohio and Michigan, Fast Company reported. The closures come after the Philadelpia-based company in June told U.S. Bankruptcy Court […]
Jayce Frymire brings physicality, toughness at cornerback for Fremont Ross football team
Tough people win. Fremont Ross football players want to live by the credo. It’s one thing for coaches to sell it, it’s another for players to buy in. Little Giants coaches know senior cornerback Jayce Frymire is tough. He was first team in the Northern Lakes League Cardinal Division last season and although coverage...
John Legend repped Ohio at the DNC. Do you agree with the roll call playlist pick?
The second night of the Democratic National Convention featured a raucous roll-call vote of all 50 states and the U.S. territories, each featuring that also represented their states. Ohio's delegation chose "Green Light" by Springfield native John Legend. The song, which features Outkast's Andre 3000 — currently touring the country promoting his flute project — appeared on Legend's third album, 2008's "Evolver." ...
Ohio Sec. of State Frank LaRose failing his basic duty of being an impartial election administrator
He’s done it again. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has deliberately sabotaged the ballot language of a citizens’ initiative on redistricting. He wants voters to defeat it in November so he’s manipulating the wording on the ballot summary to advance that objective. I don’t know what happened to the state’s election chief. Early on […]
High school football: Columbus Grove, Pandora-Gilboa meet in Route 12 rivalry
Aug. 20—For Columbus Grove, no extra motivation is needed for Thursday night's season opener against Pandora-Gilboa. It's a game that's been on the Bulldogs' minds for nearly 53 weeks. That's because the two teams played down to the wire last season, and the Rockets pulled out a 25-22 victory in the final seconds. It didn't derail Columbus Grove's season by any means, but it's not something ...

The fundraiser is a nearly ten-year partnership that helps Heartbeat continue to provide services like parenting classes, ultrasounds, and help with clothes, food, and other items for new and expecting parents.
