The Living a Healthy Life workshops teach those any chronic illness how to handle symptoms that arrise with those illnesses. Research has shown that different illnesses have similar syptoms, therefore the management of those symptoms are similar. Anyone with arithritis, heart disease, depression, asthma and COPD, diabetes, and other chronic illnesses, as well as caregivers, are welcome to attend. Severe storms bring winds, damage to Wichita area
A line of severe thunderstorms moved across south central Kansas late Tuesday afternoon, bringing wind gusts of 65 miles an hour, bringing down trees and power lines. The storms developed in Kingman and Harper counties and then moved east into Reno, Harvey, Sedgwick, Sumner, Butler and Cowley counties. Wind gusts of 60 to 65 mph were reported near Eisenhower National Airport, and a gust of 67 mph was reported near Viola.
