Gift cards at the store will be honored through the close of business on Oct. 20, and returns for merchandise purchased before Sept. 20 will be accepted until that date. Anything purchased after Sept. 20 is not eligible for return or exchange.

Salt Life originated in 2003 as a decal and grew to encompass products including apparel, performance gear, sunglasses and accessories.

The company opened over 20 retail stores along the nation’s coasts.

Earlier this month, some Salt Life assets, including intellectual property, were sold to brand management firms Iconix International and Hilco Merchant Resources.
