Grand jury clears Columbus police officer in fatal shooting of 17-year-old
COLUMBUS, Neb. (KOLN) - The Columbus police officer who shot and killed a 17-year-old boy in February will not face charges in the death. A grand jury has found no criminal wrongdoing was committed in the officer-involved shooting death of Chase Ditter on Feb. 6. The jury’s findings, a “no true bill verdict” in this case, were provided to the city of Columbus on Wednesday.
