Along the front, this afternoon and this evening, showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop. Some storms may be strong-to-severe with gusty winds and a small chance for an isolated tornado. The thunderstorms will taper off in the evening, but scattered showers will remain likely through the night and into early Tuesday morning. During the day Tuesday, clouds will remain relatively thick but we will see some occasional sunshine, especially in the afternoon and early evening.Another storm system moves into the Upper Midwest by Wednesday morning. It will push a new round of windy conditions and warm air into Ohio. Wednesday temperatures will be unseasonably warm and, likely, record-setting. Our forecast is calling for a high of 70, the daily record for March 1 in Columbus is 65F set in 1997. Columbus set three daily records in February (9th, 15th, 23rd); we’re likely to start March with another one. By Wednesday evening, rain overspreads the state and we will have another chance for scattered showers. Most of the thunderstorms will remain south of the Ohio River.High pressure begins to build into the Upper Great Lakes by Thursday morning. We will see clearing during the day, but clouds will return in the evening. A few showers may develop late Thursday night. More rain and very gusty winds will arrive on Friday with, yet another deep, strong, low-pressure center. Friday’s storm travels up the Ohio River Valley then drags colder air into the region on Saturday. High pressure builds into the region for the weekend and into early Monday.</div></body>
