Clintonville Food Truck Making Plans to Open a Brick and Mortar Location

According to a recent Columbus Monthly article, Clintonville food truck Los Agavez Taqueria is making plans to expand. The food truck is owned by husband and wife David and Elvia Reyes, and Elvia shared with What Now Columbus that the couple is planning to open its first brick and mortar restaurant, slated to open in early August. Although Reyes confirmed that there will be a brick and mortar, she explained that she is currently unable to share the exact location at the time of this article’s publication, but she did hint that the brick and mortar won’t be located in Clintonville.

“We’re very excited for this new adventure. We plan to keep our food truck as well as to continue looking for an additional brick and mortar restaurant in Clintonville,” Reyes said. “From the bottom of our hearts, we’re so grateful for the support of our regular customers and we’re excited to meet new customers at the new location.”

The menu focuses on birria style items and tacos al pastor, and the Los Agavez Taqueria food truck was one of the first concepts to bring birria to Columbus foodies. The brick and mortar location will offer up those customer favorites, plus a few new menu items, including desserts like tres leches and churros.

Additionally, Reyes shared that there will be extensive drink options such as Mexican sodas, and made from scratch drinks like horchata, aguas frescas and hibiscus water.
