Growing Hot Dog Eatery Continues Its Expansion Plans

According to recent reporting as well as a permit filed with the city for a kitchen renovation, Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace is expanding its operations. The hot dog eatery is planning to renovate the kitchen located at 2619 N High St. This marks the second permit Dirty Frank’s has filed to expand its operations this year. In January, What Now Columbus broke the news that the hot dog joint was making plans to renovate a former Poke Bros. space near Ohio State University.

The new Dirty Frank’s will operate out of Ace of Cups, a bar and live music venue that also has a kitchen that hasn’t been utilized by the bar’s ownership. According to information in the Columbus Business First article, the bar isn’t operating the kitchen and it won’t receive a percentage of the eatery’s sales at the establishment, but rather Dirty Frank’s will pay a portion of the bar’s rent for its use of the kitchen space.

Earlier this month What Now Columbus confirmed via email with Dirty Frank’s that the eatery is making plans to operate out of the space, but the company wasn’t ready to share the news or comment on its plans at the time of that communication.

As noted in the article, the Dirty Frank’s located inside Ace of Cups will serve an abbreviated menu of its hot dogs both to guests inside and though a walk-up window that will be used during concerts, and the eatery plans to operate under the same hours as the bar. Currently, Dirty Frank’s is slated to open inside Ace of Cups in June or July, per information in the article.

According to the article, the bar is also welcoming Blackened Coffee Co. into the space and Ray Ray’s Hog Pit food truck will continue to be stationed at Ace of Cups as well.
