In a recent interview with Complex Sports, former Ohio State and LSU, and current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was asked to compare life in Louisiana to life in Ohio.

And while Burrow said Louisiana has better food and a better sports culture - calling Louisiana sports fans "more passionate" with "not as much to cheer for" other than LSU and the New Orleans Saints - he credited Ohio with not only better weather and better nature, but better nightlife.

But the Ohio nightlife, Burrow said, was something he experienced in his time at Ohio State, and not during his time as LSU's starting quarterback

"I really didn't go out in Louisiana like that," Burrow said. "I was living the backup quarterback lifestyle at Ohio State. I could be wrong."

Before Burrow was the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner and led LSU to a national championship, he spent three seasons as a backup quarterback at Ohio State in a room that included Cardale Jones, J.T. Barrett, Dwayne Haskins and Tate Martell.

Burrow completed 29 of 39 attempted passes for 287 passing yards and two touchdowns, adding 53 rushing yards and a touchdown in the ground game.

Burrow, who was the top Ohio quarterback in the 2015 recruiting class out of Athens High School, lost the starting quarterback job at Ohio State to Haskins prior to the 2018 season and transferred to LSU for his final two seasons of eligibility.

In two years at LSU, Burrow completed 621 of 906 pass attempts for 8,565 passing yards, 88 touchdowns — including 12 rushing scores — and 11 interceptions.

Burrow was the No. 1 overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL draft.
