As the 2024 college football season swiftly approaches, new Ohio State Buckeyes starting quarterback Will Howard has set big goals for this season.

Howard joined the Buckeyes as a graduated transfer this offseason after spending the previous four years with the Kansas State Wildcats. During his time at Kansas State, Howard threw for 5,786 yards and 48 touchdowns combined with 929 yards and 20 touchdowns ran from scrimmage.

While at the Manning Passing Academy, Howard shared what he sees as the expectation from Ohio State.

“For us, it’s natty or bust,” he said. “I mean, there’s no doubt in my mind."

Howard continued by acknowledging the skill in the Buckeyes locker by stating, "We have all the talent. We have all the intangibles. Now, we’ve just got to go do it. I’m tired of hearing how talented we are and how good our team is. It’s about the work ethic and how we go to work every single day, and I think we’re doing the things that we need to to put ourselves in that position to be there at the end of the year and now we’ve just got to go do it.”

The Buckeyes have potentially one of the nation's most talented rosters heading into the 2024 season, which features transfer running back Quishon Judkins, safety Caleb Downs along with a plethora of others.

The Buckeyes have a bit more hunger this fall as three consecutive years of losing to its arch-rival Michigan Wolverines have thwarted the program's national championship hopes each season.

Time will tell how the season will pan out for Will Howard and the Buckeyes, but the program is certainly poised to make a run at its first national championship since 2015.
