First Columbus Paris Baguette Café Opens on July 5th as the Brand Continues to Dominate the Bakery Franchise Space

Paris Baguette, the bakery café concept with 4,000 units worldwide, is growing quickly in America. With over 170 bakery cafés in the U.S. and another 51 awarded, they have built a strong presence nationwide. Paris Baguette continues along an impressive growth trajectory with their most recent bakery café which opened at 3969 Merchants Row, Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 43219 on July 5th, with a Grand Opening celebration on July 27th.

The growth is being led by Sridhar and Mayuri Talluri, local residents and loyal Paris Baguette customers. Sridhar and Mayuri are both immigrants from India, and have built a life in America with their two children, Hansika and Hrithika Talluri. Both Sridhar and Mayuri initially held long standing careers in IT, but after visiting a Paris Baguette in Detroit, the family was inspired by their experience, the incredible service and the quality of the cakes and pastries they tried, and made the decision to open their own Paris Baguette café. Together, this entrepreneurial family is looking forward to introducing the Columbus community to Paris Baguette and building a legacy for their family.

“We’re excited to introduce our Columbus community to Paris Baguette! From the inviting experience to the quality pastries, cakes and drinks that Paris Baguette offers, we are looking forward to our community making Paris Baguette a part of their day to day lives,” said Sridhar in a statement.

The Columbus café opening is a milestone for the brand, as it is the first Paris Baguette to open in the Columbus area, and the second in the state of Ohio. As their growth continues, Paris Baguette is looking to the 1,000-unit mark in the U.S. by 2030 and working to expand through meaningful partnerships with local entrepreneurs who show a genuine interest in uniting their neighbors through connections over baked goods and fresh coffee drinks.

“We’re on a mission to re-establish the neighborhood bakery café as the heart of the community across the U.S., and we’re excited to see Sridhar and Mayri bring this to life in their local trade area,” said Darren Tipton, Chief Executive Officer of Paris Baguette in a statement. “One of the sayings our teams throughout the system embody is, ‘Happy to see you. Happier to serve you.’ And we know Sridhar and Mayuri will wholeheartedly embrace this approach in their neighborhood.”

In the $17 billion bakery segment, it is Paris Baguette’s person-first approach that allows them to differentiate themselves, offering an attractive opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to build something both lucrative and meaningful. The brand’s consistently climbing average unit volumes speak to the strength of the model, but Paris Baguette has never lost sight of their mission to revive the neighborhood bakery café.

As the team works toward opening 100 bakery cafés and awarding another 150 this year, they are focused on bringing the Paris Baguette experience to neighborhoods in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio and Kentucky.
