When talking Brandon (Miss.) Hartfield Academy safety Bralan Womack ‘s recruitment, you have to start with Notre Dame and Ohio State . Mississippi State and Ole Miss will be involved in this race until the end because Womack is a national talent in their home state, but this one is leaning toward an out-of-state battle.

The No. 30 prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking visited South Bend and Columbus early in June. Both programs grabbed his attention.

“Ohio State was a dream school for me,” Womack told On3. “It is a great program with great players and I loved it up there. Ohio State has been high on my list for a long time and I can’t wait to get back. I will be back for a game in the fall.

“Notre Dame is about life after football. They offer great football and a great education. They have great people up there too.

“Like Ohio State, it is different up there at Notre Dame. I like those two schools a lot.”

That is where it stats with Womack and his recruitment. It is early, but schools are working to catch up to the Buckeyes and the Irish. Two SEC programs will have their shot later this month.

“I will be at Texas on July 25 and Texas A&M on July 26. I was at Texas for a game last year and I loved it. Texas is a national program with a lot to like outside of football. Texas A&M is a place I want to see and learning more about.

“I am looking at a lot of different schools. It is about find the best place for me.”
