Five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. announced his final four schools and a commitment day on Sunday. Such a move gives the Ohio State Buckeyes a notice for a possible splash.

Sanders’ final schools will be the Buckeyes, Tennessee , Georgia, and Nebraska. It is interesting to note that Clemson did not make the final schools list, despite being a favorite in the recruitment at one time.

Ohio State is all in on landing Sanders and he may be the most important player in the class outside of quarterback Tavien St. Clair. Ohio State has missed out on some of the top tackles that they had been in on during previous classes. That combined with the fact that there is no fallback option to missing out on Sanders.

Carter Lowe is a high four-star tackle in the class already committed to playing in Columbus and joining him with Sanders would be a terrific haul for offensive line coach Justin Frye. The pressure is on for Frye to deliver a big recruiting win.

According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, SANders is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the class. Additionally, the blue-chip talent is the second-ranked player in the class of 2025. Things in the recruitment have been kept close to the family and Sanders has taken plenty of visits to all of the schools that he is interested in calling home.

Now, the Buckeyes work on any final pitch to make to Sanders and see if it is enough to gain his commitments in August.
