Former Ohio State basketball star Jared Sullinger announces he will play in The Basketball Tournament

Over the last few years, former Ohio State basketball star Jared Sullinger has participated in The Basketball Tournament, but as a coach.

On Tuesday morning, he announced he’ll be hanging up his coaching attire and lacing up his sneakers once again. The two-time All-American had a cup of coffee with the NBA before playing overseas the last few years. Sullinger most recently played with the Shenzhen Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Carmen’s Crew, the Ohio State alumni team, has had a solid history with the TBT, as they took home the 2019 title. Other former Buckeyes who are on the roster include Andre and Kaleb Wesson, Keyshawn Woods and Kyle Young.

With many of the TBT games televised, it’s fairly easy to see the former Buckeyes in action. Here’s hoping the addition of Sullinger puts them back on top.
