There’s a lot of optimism about Jeremiah Smith’s future as an Ohio State Buckeye, impressing anyone who watched him during spring ball. Fans won’t get their first glimpse until the season kicks off, but many will still have the ability to play as Smith in EA Sports College Football 25.

That includes Smith himself, especially after posting a since-deleted stat line that would make your jaw drop if you saw it in real life.

He’s expected to be a great player to play with as the highest-rated freshman in the game, but the 1,023 yards and 16 touchdowns he scored in just one game is on another level.

Smith was the number one overall recruit in the 2025 class, joining a Buckeye program known for producing some of the best wide receivers in the country.

Even though he's rated an 84 overall, he's not yet close to being one of the best players on the Ohio State roster.

The Ohio State roster features eight players ranked 91 or higher, with the highest-rated wideout being Emeka Egbuka at a 93 overall. Imagining the amount of talent fans already get to play with, the addition of Smith almost seems unfair. That might also be the case once the 2024 season begins.

Fans are just starting to break in their controllers with the first college football video game in the past decade. This game stands out even more as it includes player names that truly emulate what it’s like in the college football world.
