    Power restored to 4,200 in northeastern Columbus

    COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — More than 4,200 AEP customers in the northeastern section of Columbus were without power for a number of hours Sunday afternoon.

    According to the AEP outage map, an outage near the Preserve North section of the city, west of the New Albany Country Club and east of Blendon Woods, affected 4,255 customers at one point. As of 6:45 p.m., power in the area has been restored.

    AEP said its crews are still investigating the cause of the outage.
