Somehow it's still the middle of 2024 and the 2025 recruiting cycle is already winding down. Now that NIL and the Transfer Portal has changed the recruiting landscape, high school players are committing earlier and earlier. That means that schools are already locked in on the 2026 recruiting class! How do we know the 2026 cycle is really ramping up? Top players are already setting up a massive number of visits.

Jahkeem Stewart, the top overall defensive recruit in the nation has just announced that he'll be visiting LSU, Ohio State, Texas, and USC here very soon. And he'll be adding more trips here in the coming weeks.

Jahkeem Stewart, Five Star Defensive Lineman

Jahkeem Stewart is one of the easiest slam dunk lock five star recruits in a few years. All the major recruiting services have been covering him closely for well over a year, he's already gotten nearly 30 FBS scholarship offers, and he's scheduling visits to all the top blue blood schools in the nation.

Stewart racked up almost 100 tackles, over 30 of them for a loss, and 20 sacks in a single season last fall. It's likely impossible to follow up that absurd production but Stewart doesn't really have to at this point. He's already flashed the traits and potential that will not only likely make him a top college football player, but also an eventual first round NFL Draft pick.

    Potential Landing Spots for Stewart

Frankly, it's far too early to truly predict where Stewart will be landing exactly, but he's already logged multiple visits to Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Texas, and USC. Stewart is still expanding his planned visit list, but early on it looks like Alabama, LSU, USC, and perhaps Auburn (as of late) are leading.

He's already visited Alabama a half dozen times, LSU (his in-state school) is apparently on their way to their fifth and perhaps sixth visits, and USC had multiple touch points with him this spring. Auburn's defensive line coach Vontrell King-Williams has been going all in and reportedly been developing an incredible relationship with Stewart too. We'll be following this recruiting battle for the next several months. Wherever Stewart lands he's going to be an absolute game changer.
