This college football season will feature a multitude of storylines to watch, from how well teams will perform in their new conferences to the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff.

Another storyline to watch is Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes have lost three straight games to the Michigan Wolverines. Even though Day has a perfect 40-0 record against the rest of the Big Ten during his time as head coach, some have called for his job .

ESPN's Paul Finebaum has been very critical of Day. He thinks it's time for Day to change the narrative. Ultimately, he believes Day and the Buckeyes will do that and play for a national championship this season.

"I think when you're in that caldron at a school like Ohio State, to me, it's a compliment to Ohio State, the fact that their standard is so good that at some point you do have to change the narrative," Finebaum said. "I think that's where he is. I frankly believe they'll play for the national championship this year."

Finebaum feels Day needs to change the narrative more than anything else this season and beat Michigan for the first time in his last three tries. ESPN's Football Power Index has the Buckeyes as the No. 4 team in the country. The FPI projects them to go 10-2.

Ohio State has the second-best odds to win the Big Ten, reach the College Football Playoff, compete in the national championship game and win the national championship within its conference, second only to the Oregon Ducks.

Paul Finebaum believes it's time for Day to lead Ohio State to victory over its rival, ending the losing streak and ultimately changing the narrative.
