COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Columbus Metropolitan Library has a larger-than-life bug exhibit coming to its main branch.

The display, which launches Aug. 13 and runs through Oct. 24, will feature an 8-foot-tall firefly and grasshopper, a 6-foot-tall stag beetle, a 7-foot-tall blue-eyed darner and a 10-foot-tall orb web spider. The event is free and open to customers of all ages, according to a library spokesperson.

They added that programs led by staff, as well as activities visitors can take part in on their own, will be available as part of the exhibit. Bug-themed books from the library will be added for the public to peruse as well.

More information about the giant bugs exhibit, as well as facts about the insects themselves, is available on the library website.
