Where are new Columbus residents moving from? U-Haul has top states, cities of origin

    It's moving season.

Summer is a popular time for people to purchase homes or move to new ones, including in different cities.

If you spot a U-Haul truck in your neighborhood, you could be getting new neighbors from a different city or state.

The moving and self storage company tracked where people move to and from, as it said nearly half of all residential moves each year happen between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

U-Haul analyzed truck transactions for people renting a one-way vehicle for the first six months of 2024.

Here's where people were coming from when they moved into Columbus this year.
