Ryan Day is one of college football’s coaches under major pressure this year. Despite boasting a 56-8 record with the Buckeyes, Day is 1-3 in College Football playoff games and has lost three straight games to archrival Michigan.

However, Ohio State comes into this season with an extremely talented roster. The Buckeyes come out of transfer portal season big-time winners, landing running back Quinshon Judkins and star safety Caleb Downs. With the roster they have, the expectations have become significantly higher in Columbus.

So it’s hard to imagine a hurdle for this Buckeye team, right? Not according to Greg McElroy. The ESPN analyst says the offensive line could be the one thing that holds this roster back.

“I think there are some concerns {with the roster},” McElroy said Monday morning on “McElroy and Cubelic”. “I think the offensive line has been an Achilles’ heel for a while.”

Luckily for Ohio State, they return three starters on the offensive line with LT Josh Simmons, LG Donovan Jackson, and RT Josh Fryar. The Buckeyes gave up 23 sacks in 13 games played last season, which was 10th in the Big Ten last season.

With new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, it will be interesting to see how this Ohio State offense looks. However, if it’s another underwhelming season, Ryan Day's seat will just get hotter.
