Miguel "Mr. Mike" Serrato

Miguel “Mr. Mike” Serrato, age 58, died on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Prairie Ridge Health, Columbus. Miguel was born on May 6, 1966 in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico to Miguel and Antonia (Galindo) Serrato. Miguel was married to Rosa Rubio on November 20, 1999 in Columbus.

Miguel loved and cared for his grandchildren very much.  He enjoyed watching them in all their activities and events.  Miguel also loved to fish, hunt and work on his garden.  What he loved most of all was his time working as a Playground Attendant at St Jerome School.  Miguel also loved the Dallas Cowboys, the San Antonio Spurs, Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers

Miguel is survived by his wife Rosa of Columbus; son Brandon Serrato of Del Rio Texas; step-children Juan (Tiffany) Guerrero of Columbus, Maria (Todd) Musolf of Franklin; grandchildren Rey Guerrero, Christina Guerrero, Alejandra Guerrero, Noah Musolf; sisters Juana Rivera Ignacio, Rosa (Raymundo) Bermea, Caroline Garza and Amalia Serrato; brother Jesus (Armida) Serrato Galindo.

Miguel is preceded in death by his parents; sister Luz Serrato; brother Hugo Villareal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Jerome Church on Saturday, July 27, 2024.  Visitation at 12:00 P.M., with mass following at 2:00 P.M..
