Parts of 10 counties in Northern California could lose power later this week
CALIFORNIA, USA — Parts of 10 counties in Northern California could lose power due to fire weather conditions this week. PG&E said Public Safety Power Shutoffs were possible July 2 in parts of Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Napa, Shasta, Solano, Tehama, Sonoma, Butte and Yolo counties. It would potentially impact about 12,000 customers.
CHP: Colusa County wrong way crash leads to two fatalities
Two people died after an early Sunday morning head-on collision in Colusa County, the California Highway Patrol said. According to an accident report, a 33-year-old man from Elk Grove was driving the wrong way on Interstate 5 between Williams and Arbuckle. The report states that the man, who was driving a 2006 BMW 530i, was traveling northbound in the number one southbound lane of Interstate 5 just south of Myers Road at an unknown rate of speed at around 4:47 a.m. on Sunday.
