Evacuation Order For Juliaetta Lifted-SH3 Back Open-Nearly 100 Structures Destroyed By 29K Acre Gwen Fire-0% Contained
Residents of Juliaetta can return to their homes for the first time since the destructive Gwen Fire broke out last Wednesday. The Latah County Sheriff’s Office lifted the mandatory evacuation of Juliaetta Monday morning. Residents there still need to be prepared to evacuate. State Highway 3 South of town has been reopened. U.S. Highway 12 remains closed in both directions between SH3 and Lenore.
