Kimberly frustrated as it once again opens season in Week 2
KIMBERLY (WLUK) -- For the second straight season Kimberly will play eight regular season games, not the standard nine, as Milwaukee Vincent forfeited their Week 1 matchup. Missing out on one game may not seem like a big deal, but it is, and what frustrates Papermakers coach Chad Michalkiewicz is teams that have broken contracts with Kimberly don't suffer any consequence and some of those teams initiated the matchup.

Thursday Football Scoreboard: Hawks Shut Out By Tigers
Week 2 of the High School Football Season kicked off on Thursday. The Tigers put on a dominant performance, limiting the Hawks to just 20 passing yards and 48 rushing yards while racking up 399 yards of offense. Wrightstown built a 22-0 lead in the first quarter, led by Aiden Humphreys with 118 yards on 13 carries and Cameron Schumacher adding 81 rushing yards. The Tigers’ offense was in full swing, scoring touchdowns on seven of their eight drives, with the only miss coming on a turnover on downs. Marcus Brezgel was Shawano’s top performer with 73 rushing yards.
Butz and Stumpf take season titles at WIsconsin International Raceway
KAUKAUNA – Jordan Thiel won the Super Late Model feature over Braisson Bennett on the final night of the 2024 racing season at WIR. Chad Butz finished fifth and that got him enough points to win the season title with 907 points, 4 better than runnerup Maxwell Schultz.
