The plot follows the Thewasathitpaisan family’s battle for power after the mysterious death of Roongroj (Teerapong Leowrakwong ), a diamond tycoon. The Thai series sees the tycoon’s new housekeeper-turned-wife, Kaimook ( Yada Narilya Gulmongkolpech ), track down the killer. Meanwhile, Roongroj’s sons, Phupat and Mavin, become the prime suspects in the murder mystery as they’ve been after his fortune.

Master of the House ties its loose ends in the final episode of the first installment as the killer and the motive are revealed. Kaimook turns out to be the mastermind behind the killings in the family, as the motive also comes to the surface.

After an older maid, Dao, commits suicide, Kaimook is devastated and filled with vengeance. She plots the whole thing to take revenge for the mistreatment of the servants at the hands of Roongroj and his family. Kaimook makes the businessman marry her by making him believe she can give him a son he can control. Roongroj ends up signing his fortune to Kaimook and any heir she bears.

Kaimook’s revenge plan is a success, as Roongroj, Phupat, and Mavin are all dead by the end of Master of the House season 1. In the dramatic ending, the servants then take over the house.
