Mission: Yozakura Family episode 18 recap

Episode 18 starts with Shinzo training Taiyo so he can effectively use his new powers. Taiyo struggles to use his new powers, repeatedly losing to Shinzo. Kyoichiro arrives and says that power is just one aspect of a Yozakura’s strength. The reason for wielding the power is really what matters. However, their conversation is cut short by Mutsumi, who arrives to tell Taiyo she won tickets to a resort.

While the rest of the family is excited about the trip, Kyoichiro is bothered that he can’t go because of his mission. He tries to cancel it, but Mutsumi talks him into going and doing a good job. However, before he leaves, he warns Taiyo not to think of bathing with Mutsumi. Later, the family arrives at the resort and is immediately greeted by glares from a former mob boss Kyoichiro had dealt with. He tries to attack them, and Taiyo reacts instantly to defend.

However, they are stopped by the hostess, who warns them that fighting here is prohibited. The family goes on to have a good time before meeting for dinner. But things take a shocking turn as Futaba mistakenly drinks alcohol, making her go on a rampage. Taiyo takes Mutsumi, and they run away. She then asks him to take a bath together, and he agrees. Mutsumi shows him a scar where her heart is and tells him how Tanpopo almost killed her. She also tells him how her father had cornered them into making her give him powers.

Taiyo comforts her and tells her they should look for her father. Meanwhile, Kyoichiro arrives at the inn and goes to the dining area, where he sees Futaba on a rampage. He then comes to see Taiyo bathing with Mutsumi and attacks him. However, Futaba protects them and confronts her brother with a pillow. The entire hotel joins her, and they attack Kyoichiro together. The episode ends with Kyoichiro drowning in a pile of pillows.
