Win or Lose Trailer Sets Disney+ Release Date for Original Pixar Series

A trailer for Win or Lose has been released.

Win or Lose is a new original Pixar series that will premiere on Disney+ later this year.  The series follows a middle school softball team as they prepare for a big championship game.

What is the Disney+ release date for Win or Lose?

As announced Friday, August 9, 2024, at D23, Win or Lose will begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ on December 6, 2024.

“Directed, written and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and produced by David Lally, the new series reveals what it feels like to be in the shoes of eight different characters—the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire—as they prepare for a championship softball game,” the synopsis reads. “ Will Forte lends his voice to the coach.”

Along with Forte, the voice cast of the series includes Milan Ray and Rosa Salazar.

“It’s not so much about softball as it is a comedy about love, rivalry, and the challenges we all face in our struggles to win at life,” Pixar’s Pete Docter previously said about Win or Lose, via ComicBook .

Win or Lose wasn’t the only new animated Disney+ series that was announced on Friday at D23. Disney also announced that an Inside Out spin-off titled Dream Productions is coming in 2025. The show will take place inside Riley’s mind and feature Paula Pell as the voice of dream director Paula Persimmon. Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, and Phyllis Smith round out the voice cast.

It was also announced that The Incredibles 3 and an original movie called Hoppers are in the works from Pixar at D23.
