The excitement for Disney’s upcoming release, Mufasa: The Lion King, is palpable, as the Hindi trailer has just dropped. Featuring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the iconic lion Mufasa, the trailer offers a glimpse into this much-anticipated film gearing to hit theaters in December. With Shah Rukh Khan reuniting with his son, Aryan, and new addition, AbRam, for this special project, fans can’t wait for the release.

Following the success of Disney’s 2019 live-action The Lion King, Mufasa: The Lion King is both a prequel and sequel to the previous film. Directed by Barry Jenkins, the story expands the beloved universe by focusing on Mufasa’s early years. The trailer reveals the journey of a young orphaned lion named Mufasa and his brother, Taka, who later becomes the infamous Scar. Their adventures, alongside a diverse group of characters, form the heart of this new film.

In the Hindi version of the film, Shah Rukh Khan reprises his role as Mufasa, a role he first voiced in the 2019 remake. His sons also play significant parts: Aryan Khan voices the older Simba, while AbRam voices the young Mufasa.

The superstar expressed his excitement about the project, saying, “Mufasa has an incredible legacy and stands as the ultimate king of the jungle, imparting his wisdom to his son, Simba. I deeply relate to him as a father and also resonate with Mufasa’s journey in the film.” He further added, “It’s a special collaboration for me with Disney, particularly because my sons, Aryan and AbRam, are part of this journey, and sharing this experience with them is truly meaningful.”
