Chinese Drama Love on the Turquoise Land: All About Chen Xingxu & Dilraba Dilmurat’s Series

The upcoming Chinese fantasy drama Love on the Turquoise Land recently wrapped up its filming. All set to hit the screens, it is an adaptation of Wei Yu’s Xiao Qi Qing Rang. The anticipated drama has created a lot of buzz among Chinese drama lovers as it features popular actors Chen Xingxu and Dilraba Dilmurat in lead roles.

Directed by Tian Li and He Tan, the drama has already acquired a high number of reservations. The backdrop of the drama is set against the ancient Qin dynasty. It tells the story of a sculptor and a wealthy young man who team up to unveil secrets about a hidden kingdom.

A prominent ruler of the Qin dynasty, Qin Shi Huang was obsessed with the concept of immortality. He appointed an army called the “Tangled Army” to learn about the secrets of immortality and how to obtain it. However, the army mysteriously vanished off the face of the Earth, leaving no trace behind. Many stories surrounding their disappearance have circulated ever since.

Nie Jiu Luo (Dilraba Dilmurat) is a talented young sculptor leading an ordinary life. However, unknown to her, she is a descendant of one of the members of the lost Tangled Army. After the mystery revives, she spends her days investigating it. Meanwhile, she crosses paths with Yan Tuo (Chen Xingxu), a wealthy man. He, too, is on a quest to find the truth. However, the plot thickens with the appearance of an enigmatic woman, Lin Xi Rou, who controls his family.

After the duo’s paths cross, they find that the Tangled Army and Xi Rou are somehow connected. Gradually, Nie Jiu Luo and Yan Tuo fall in love while solving the mysteries that come their way. This includes the cases of immortality, night owls, and so on.

Besides the lead actors, Love on the Turquoise Land will also feature Dong Chang, Su Xin, Cherry Ngan, Liang Song Qing, Pan Mei Ye, Lin Peng, Shi Yue Ling, etc., in pivotal roles.

The drama will reportedly release a total of 32 episodes. These will soon be available to stream on Tencent Video and WeTV.
