Anticipation is growing among enthusiasts for the upcoming premiere launch of Star Trek: Prodigy Season 3. There has been widespread speculation about the series’ release date. The show’s continuation can only depend upon audiences tuning in to the next 20 episodes on Netflix after its official debut takes place on Monday, July 1, 2024.

Here’s all the Star Trek: Prodigy Season 3 Netflix release date information we know so far and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a Star Trek: Prodigy Season 3 Netflix release date?

Star Trek: Prodigy Season 3 does not have an official release date. Even if Netflix commissions a third season this year, the likelihood of the new episodes being available on Netflix before 2026 is super low. However, it will likely be announced in the future.

As of this writing, the creators and producers have not yet confirmed a concrete release date. However, the creators advised the fans’ to keep on increasing their curiosity for it. They also suggested streaming into Season 2, which will give hopes to them that the show might come. But unfortunately, it won’t be coming anytime soon. Season 3’s fate completely depends upon viewers tuning into Netflix and completing season 2. Netflix keeps its viewership numbers under wraps and tracks the millions of minutes streamed. Along with binge-watching habits, and social media buzz surrounding a show.

However, based on interviews with Screen Rant, the executive producer Kevin shared his updates on the hopes for Season 3. He quotes, “Well, it’s been a while since we finished season 2. We don’t have offices anymore. We’re in our homes right now. I know that everyone in our crew had such a delight working on this show. So, I look forward to that day when we can make that call, we get a call from Alex Kurtzman, and they’re like, ‘Netflix has an appetite for more Prodigy. Whether it’s an animated film, a sequel, or if it’s a third season. But to be able to call up our crew and actors, I know everyone who can would love to come back.”

The series plot particularly focuses on how some teens stumble upon an old spaceship and decide to take it for a spin through the galaxy. But things worsen when the original owner shows up, which causes some trouble.

According to the above-mentioned report, the interview with Kevin and Dan Hageman discusses the possibility of it happening by saying, “A best-case scenario would mean a likely 2-year wait for more Star Trek: Prodigy, whether an animated movie or Star Trek: Prodigy season 3.

The cast members include Brett Gray, Ella Purnell, Rylee Alazraqui, Angus Imrie, Jason Mantzoukas, Dee Bradley Baker, John Noble, and Jimmi Simpson.

Where is Star Trek: Prodigy Season 3 coming out?

Star Trek: Prodigy Season 3 could come out on Netflix.

The makers have confirmed that Season 3 could debut on Netflix. However, there is no set date or trailer as of now.

Why Star Trek: Prodigy Season 3 might not be happening anytime soon

Season 3 probably isn’t coming out. This whole thing depends on the fans binge-watching the previous series on Netflix to make it stand out. But the possibility of it happening anytime soon is equal to zero. Rumored speculations depend, if lucky, that the series might happen in 2026. As this year might be the time to celebrate the 6th year of Star Trek and a better way to honor this milestone.
