Lionsgate has officially announced a new Never Let Go release date for its upcoming horror drama, which hails from Crawl director Alexandre Aja.

“In this new psychological thriller, as an evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond,” reads the synopsis. “Needing to stay connected at all times — even tethering themselves with ropes — they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival.”

When is the new Never Let Go release date?

Originally scheduled for a September 27, 2024 release, Never Let Go will now arrive in theaters a week earlier on September 20, 2024. The Halle Berry-led film will debut in the same month as other horror movies, including Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Substance, Speak No Evil, and Bagman.

Never Let Go is directed by Aja from a screenplay co-written by KC Coughlin and Ryan Grassby. Joining Berry are Percy Daggs IV, Anthony B. Jenkins, Matthew Kevin Anderson, Christin Park, and Stephanie Lavigne. In addition to leading the cast, Berry is also executive producing alongside Holly Jeter, Daniel Clarke, Emily Morris, Christopher Woodrow, and Connor DiGregorio. It is produced by Aja, Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Dan Levine.
