Hu-Young says that he feels relieved to see her mother’s tempting offer has failed to manipulate Hong-Ju. Towards the end of episode 8 of Serendipity’s Embrace, viewers see Lee Hong-Ju (Kim So-Hyun) working diligently to achieve her dream in the animation film industry. She works day and night on a significant project. Meanwhile, it is Christmas time, and Kang Hu-Young (Chae Jong-Hyeop) has to leave for the U.S. before Christmas Eve.

So, Kim Hye-Ji (Kim Da-Som), her new boyfriend Son Kyung-Taek (Hwang Sung-Bin), Kwon Sang-Pil (Lee Won-Jung), and Kang Hu-Young gather at his uncle’s place to spend some time before Hu-Young leaves.
