Perfect Family K-Drama on KBS: Release Date, Cast, Plot & More

Perfect Family is a new mystery thriller that will premiere soon on KBS2. The highly anticipated series is an adaptation of the popular webtoon of the same name by Nyangpa and Joo-Eun. Isao Yukisada has helmed the upcoming Korean drama series. A renowned Japanese film director, he has previously directed several notable movies like River’s Edge, Pink and Gray, Five Minutes to Tomorrow, Narratage, and many more.

Perfect Family stars well-known actors Kim Byung-Chul, Park Ju-Hyun, and Yoon Se-Ah as the leading characters. KBS has recently released a post for the new mystery drama series on Instagram, revealing the release date and time of the K-drama.

Perfect Family K-drama: Release date & time on KBS

The much-awaited K-drama Perfect Family will debut on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, on KBS2. New episodes of the series will air every Wednesday and Thursday on the network. The drama’s air time on KBS2 is 9:50 p.m. KST .

The Korean thriller series will also stream on Viki on the same day. However, the series’ release time on the streaming platform may differ from the drama’s air time on the KBS2 network.

Perfect Family K-drama: Cast & plot

In the Perfect Family K-drama, Yoon Se-Ah portrays one of the main characters, Ha Eun-Joo. She is a former neuropsychiatric specialist and is now a homemaker and a mother. Viewers will also see actor Kim Byung-Chul playing Choi Jin-Hyuk, a lawyer, Ha Eun-Joo’s husband and father to her children. In the meantime, Park Ju-Hyun plays one of the lead roles, Choi Seon-Hee. The character is the adopted daughter of Choi Jin-Hyuk and Ha Eun-Joo. Another significant character in the series is Seon-Hee’s friend, Park Kyung-Ho, who will be played by Kim Young-Dae.

Yoon Se-Ah has previously been a significant part of several other notable K-drama series such as Snowdrop, Rain or Shine, Sky Castle, Stranger, My Sassy Girl, Melting Me Softly, The Road: The Tragedy of One and Sweet Home 2, among others. Meanwhile, Kim Byung-Chul is best known for his roles in highly popular K-dramas like Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Descendants of the Sun, All of Us Are Dead, Doctor Cha and more. He has also starred with Yoon Se-Ah in Sky Castle.

Park Ju-Hyun is also well-known for her characters in Netflix’s Extracurricular, Mouse, The Forbidden Marriage, Zombie Detective, and several other shows. Finally, Kim Young-Dae has also been in several other noteworthy Korean dramas, including Moon in the Day, The Penthouse: War in Life, and Extraordinary You. He has also previously starred alongside Park Ju-Hyun in The Forbidden Marriage.

The series centers around the suspicious story of Choi Seon-Hee and her family, who seem perfect from the outside. Seon-Hee is a model student and a loving daughter of Eun-Joo and Jin-Hyuk. Known for her charismatic look, she apparently leads a comfortable and happy life. However, a tragic and terrifying event turns her and her family’s life upside down. After the shocking murder of Choi Seon-Hee’s friend Park Kyung-Ho, Seon-Hee and her family members begin to doubt one another. As the story unfolds, the complexity of their family increases rapidly. The K-drama will explore the truth behind the family and the murder.
