    Black Out K-Drama on MBC: Release Date, Cast, Plot & More

    Black Out is an upcoming crime thriller K-drama starring well-known South Korean actors Ko Jun and Byun Yo-Han as the main characters. The series is all set to make its debut on MBC very soon. The drama is an adaptation of the popular novel of the same name by author Nele Neuhaus. Seo Joo-Yeon has acted as the screenwriter of the new series.

    The audience has been eagerly waiting to see how the highly anticipated K-drama will turn out. MBC has recently dropped a poster for Black Out on Instagram. It discloses the exact release date and release time of the series.

    Black Out K-drama: Release date, time on MBC

    As revealed by the Instagram post, the much-awaited K-drama Black Out will premiere on Friday, August 16, 2024, on MBC. New episodes of the drama will air every Friday and Saturday on the network. The release time of the series is 9:50 p.m. KST.

    The renowned director Byun Young-Joo has helmed it. The director has previously directed notable Korean movies such as Helpless, Ardor, Flying Boys, and Habitual Sadness 2. Thus, the expectations from the upcoming K-drama are quite high.

    Black Out K-drama: Cast & plot

    Actor Byun Yo-Han will portray one of the central characters Ko Jung-Woo in Black Out. The character is a man who was convicted at the age of 19 right before entering medical school. He was accused of murdering two of his female classmates. In the meantime, the audience will witness actor Ko Jun playing another main role of No Sang-Cheol. The character is a Muchon Town police officer who used to be a renowned detective. A terrifying tragedy turned his life completely upside down.

    Meanwhile, actress Go Bo-Gyeol will play one of the most significant roles of Choi Na-Kyeom in the new series. She is a woman who was one of the classmates of Ko Jung-Woo in high school. The character has deep romantic feelings for Jung-Woo. The main cast list for Black Out also includes actress Kim Bo-Ra. She will be seen portraying the pivotal character Ha Seol. The character is a woman who has been traveling all across the country after taking a leave of absence from her medical school. She ends up staying at Muchon Town.

    It will be quite interesting to see these four noteworthy actors coming together in this highly gripping crime thriller K-drama series.

    The drama will center around the fascinating and mysterious story of Ko Jung-Woo and No Sang-Cheol. After spending ten years in prison for the murder of two female classmates in high school, Ko Jung-Woo returns to society. The most suspicious thing about him is that he does not remember if he committed the menacing crime or not. The man goes back to his hometown but wants to leave the place behind as he is looking for a fresh start in life. However, a series of highly mysterious events keeps him in his hometown.

    At this point, Ko Jung-Woo comes across police officer No Sang-Cheol in Muchon Town. The officer has a tragic past. He was an elite detective but after losing his bride on his wedding day in a terrifying murder, he lost everything. This is the time when he came to Muchon Town. Soon, He ends up getting associated with Ko Jung-Woo as the story unfolds. The two then team up to find the truth behind the murder case of the two female classmates of Jung-Woo. The case is quite complex as the police never found the bodies of these two girls. Thus, viewers are in for an arresting new Korean drama series.
