Sonic x Shadow Generations Trailer Shows Shadow’s New Doom Powers

The true ultimate life form is getting an upgrade. The latest Sonic x Shadow Generations trailer showcases Shadow the Hedgehog obliterating his enemies with his new Doom Powers.

What are Shadow’s new Doom powers in Sonic x Shadow Generations?

The new Sonic x Shadow Generations trailer gives a glimpse of all five Doom Powers used against some of Shadow’s most powerful foes. This includes Doom Spear, Doom Blast, Doom Morph, Doom Wing, and Doom Surf.

Doom Spear allows Shadow to strike five enemies at once. Doom Blast sees the hedgehog wind up for a powerful kick, launching his enemies across a great distance. Doom Morph transforms Shadow into an octopus-like creature that can traverse and grapple a purple substance. Doom Wing gives him wings, allowing him to fly. Lastly, Doom Surf spawns a sting ray-like creature below Shadow’s feet, allowing him to shred the seas at fast speeds.

The Sonic x Shadow Generations trailer also gives a new look at its revamped versions of levels like Radical Highway and Chaos Island. Most notably, Metal Overlord appears as a boss fight in a section that utilizes Shadow’s new Doom Surf power.

Sega is present at Gamescom 2024. Attendees can check out the upcoming game on the show floor at Sonic Team’s booth between August 21 and August 25. Players who demo the game can get a photo opportunity with the Sonic mascot.

Recently, Sega and Limited Run Games announced the Sonic x Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition. This edition includes many physical goodies, including an artbook, soundtrack, commemorative Dreamcast jewel case, and a Sonic & Shadow Dreamcast Statue. Preorders are available now on Limited Run’s website.

Sonic x Shadow Generations launches October 24, 2024, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Physical and digital preorders are available now. PS5 owners get exclusive Prologue Animations for preordering the game.
