Bad Monkey Episode 3 is now available on Apple TV Plus, and the viewers want to know who killed Israel O’Peele and what is Christopher’s real identity. The series revolves around Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn), a former detective turned food inspector, as he investigates an increasingly complicated case involving a severed arm. In episode 3, titled “Nobody Said He Was Alvin Einstein,” Yancy’s investigation leads him and Rosa to Israel O’Peele, a doctor who was helping the purported victim run an insurance scam. Meanwhile, in the Bahamas, Neville’s desire to punish Christopher pushes him further into the clutches of the Dragon Queen (Jodie Turner-Smith) and her grandmother.

Here is everything that happens at the end of Bad Monkey Episode 3.

What happens at the end of Bad Monkey Episode 3?

The relationship between Yancy and Rosa continues to develop in this episode, with Rosa effectively serving as Yancy’s partner as he investigates how Nick was killed. The two flirt unabashedly, with Rosa even getting slightly irritated when Yancy gets a call from Bonnie.

Yancy and Rosa speak to Madeline and discover that a man gave the severed arm to her late boyfriend to attach to the fishing line as bait. They follow the clue and learn that Nick was running an insurance scam with the help of Dr. Israel O’Peele. While visiting O’Peele, Yancy finds a brochure advertising Curly Tail Lane, the resort that Christopher apparently intends to build in the Bahamas.

This episode also marks the first encounter between Yancy and Neville, the two protagonists of the series. Yancy visits the restaurant Neville’s sister’s run and meets both Neville and Driggs the monkey. After returning to the Bahamas, Neville and Driggs try to go fishing but discover that the boat is gone. Christopher is there, and he announces that he was the one who cut the boat loose before shooting at Neville and Driggs’ general direction for stepping into his property. This prompts Neville to go back to the Dragon Queen and give her the money he perhaps got from his sister. However, detecting that he still doesn’t believe in the Dragon Queen, Ya-Ya demands he must hand over Driggs, which Neville reluctantly does.

Toward the end of the episode, Neville breaks into Christopher’s office and finds himself face-to-face with Christopher’s enforcer, Egg. Fortunately for Neville, he has Charles’ gun with him, and it stops Egg in his tracks. As Neville leaves, he hits Egg for what he did to Charles.

    Who Killed Israel O’Peele?

After the visit from Yancy and Rose, O’Peele starts to panic and calls Eve. Although her words and the invite to the Bahamas seem to soothe him, he soon discovers that Yancy has taken the brochure. The following day, O’Peele messages Yancy that he is ready to talk. However, just as Yancy arrives at O’Peele, someone shoots the doctor from behind, killing him. Given that this episode establishes that it takes only 45 minutes to fly from the Florida Keys to the Bahamas, the obvious suspect, Christopher, is most likely the killer. Having realized that O’Peele has become just another loose end to their plan, Christopher and Eve probably decided to take him out.

    Who is Christopher?

At one point in the episode, Yancy visits Caitlin and tells her that he has found evidence supporting that Eve indeed murdered Nick and chopped him in pieces. Before this, Caitlin was willing to ignore her suspicions because Eve told her about her share in the insurance money. She subsequently travels to the Bahamas to confront Eve. As the episode ends, Caitlin learns that Eve’s supposed boyfriend, Christopher, is actually Nick. The camera focuses on his amputated arm before the credits start rolling.

At this point in the series, we can assume that Nick/Christopher was a willing accomplice when his arm was chopped off if he didn’t cut it off himself. This all seems like part of Nick/Christopher’s elaborate insurance scam, including the missing meteorologist, a plot thread that remains in the periphery of the main narrative.
