Chinese Drama Love’s Rebellion: Series Ending Explained & Spoilers

The xianxia Chinese drama Love’s Rebellion, starring Zhang Linghe and Jing Tian , recently released its final set of episodes. Episode 36 focuses on what happens after Ji Yang ( Zhang Linghe ) turns into a demon to save Nan Yan (Jing Tian).

News spreads that the Yin Zhi inhabiting Ji Yang’s body may explode. Nan Yan worries that he will fail to resist and transform into a demon. According to Chi Ku Da Shi, if that happens, he will start to show the characteristics of Ying Zewei. The Netherworld river will start to flow, and he will go to the Netherworld capital. Da Shi, Yin Ya, and Mu Zhan Ting appear below the red sky as the heavenly calamity begins. Nan Yan and Ji Yang fight each other. When Ji Yang seems to dominate the battle, Yin Ya wants to help Nan Yan, but Da Shi stops him. As they clash, the surroundings turn bright.

The next scene takes viewers three years into the future. A narrator reveals that Shao Cang (Ji Yang) turned into dust after the battle. On the other hand, Nan Yan gave up on all her cultivation to destroy three hearts. She resurrected with the Nirvana Spirit heart. The voice further reveals that she has been living in her hometown since then, patiently waiting for his safe return.
