The 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena, is set to retire from professional wrestling in 2025. At the Money in the Bank premium live event, Cena made a surprise appearance, delighting fans in Toronto, Canada.

John Cena revealed that he will retire from the WWE in-ring competition in 2025. He will begin a year-long farewell tour, starting with the historic first episode of RAW on Netflix in January 2025. Fans will have the chance to see him compete in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber before his final match at WrestleMania 41. Cena plans to wrestle throughout 2025, making 30–40 appearances from January to December.

John Cena, who has had a career spanning more than two decades in WWE, boasts multiple accolades. He has won numerous championships and top matches. Following the announcement, several WWE Superstars, including CM Punk, Randy Orton, Bron Breakker, and others, have expressed their desire to face Cena before his retirement.

Cena is beginning to prepare for his retirement tour, which will start in a few months. Recently, the 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion revealed a major detail about his contract following his in-ring retirement.

John Cena revealed he was signed contract extension with WWE post his retirement

The 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena recently appeared on Club Shay Shay show. He revealed that he has signed a contract extension with WWE, meaning his final match may not end his association with the promotion.

He stated, “I have such a trustworthy relationship with them. Over two decades. I am a champion of the brand. I love the company. It is my home. They are my family. Even after 2025, I’ve already signed an extension to remain a member of the WWE family for the near, mid, and long-term future. I don’t think there will be a beat of my heart where WWE blood doesn’t come out of it.”

While John Cena is set to retire next year, his recent revelation about his contract extension suggests that fans will likely continue to see the Leader of the Cenation making appearances on WWE shows in non-wrestling capacities even after his retirement.
