New posters for Pinocchio: Unstrung and Bambi: The Reckoning have been released.

Pinocchio: Unstrung and Bambi: The Reckoning are two new films set within the Poohniverse horror franchise, also known as the Twisted Childhood Universe, which so far includes 2023’s Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey and 2024’s Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2.

What do we know about Pinocchio: Unstrung and Bambi: The Reckoning?

Bloody Disgusting has unveiled the first poster for Pinocchio: Unstrung, which can be viewed below.

Pinocchio: Unstrung is directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. The film is expected to begin filming in October and is currently eyeing a 2025 release, though no date has been announced at this time.

“The film will embrace practical effects at every opportunity, ranging from the doll itself to the title card of the film,” Frake-Waterfield said. “Having a budget significantly higher than my last film, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, I’m aiming to make this the definitive Pinocchio horror film and my best movie to date. Exciting cast announcements will follow shortly!”

Bloody Disgusting has also unveiled a new sales poster for Bambi: The Reckoning, which is directed by Unhinged’s Dan Allen. View the poster below:

“After a mother and son get in a car wreck, they soon become hunted by Bambi, a mutated grief-stricken deer on a deadly rampage seeking revenge for the death of his mother,” the synopsis for the movie, which is also expected to be released in 2025, reads.

Bambi: The Reckoning stars Roxanne Mckee, Tom Mulheron, Nicola Wright, Samira Mighty, Alex Cooke, and Russell Geoffrey Banks.

“It’s gonna be terrifying,” Allen said When people see a deer in the wild after this film they’re gonna run for the hills. This film is about the death of childhoods as much as it’s gonna ruin childhoods Expect bloodshed, tears and rabbits… and one mean killer deer. At last, the British countryside will finally get its Godzilla.”

Other films that will be part of the Twisted Childhood Universe include Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3, Awakening Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White Returns.
